4th of July

We spent the 4th of July at the Armstrongs' pool. A tradition from 16 years ago when I was in high school. That was the first time Brandi and I spent the 4th at their pool, little did we know we would be a part of the family and still spending our 4ths there. Really didn't get many pictures of John and P, maybe because they were on the go all day.
Kennedy is more than happy to strike a pose though.
Grammy and Clara
I caught Kennedy doing this little dance when I was on the deck.
An evening of Guitar Hero (Brandi, you said no facebook but you didn't say no blog;)
Cracking up at Burt and John. Burt didn't know the words were at the top of the screen to the very end of the song.
John singing.
P shaking his booty.
Clara loved "singing" too.
Sparklers

Love this John and Dad shot.

Beach Pictures

This year we did do the traditional beach pictures. I really wanted some good family photos before Burt leaves. I booked our photographer by his website and it turned out he was from Cleveland, Tennessee, only 30 minutes from my hometown. Small world!! We ended up with two days of photos because he took some for the realty company he works for one day with us in regular clothes. He made us a DVD of the two days of photos but I couldn't get it to load on here.

Last Evening at the Beach

Out to dinner - John trying to get Clara to look at the camera.
Out feeding the birds

I promised John that he could take one last dip in the water, little did I know he would go diving into the waves and be soaking wet.
Little sister is never far behind.

It was so much fun!!

A shot John took of Clara and I at dinner.

Our Last Day

Ready for last day on the beach, it was just the three of us as Daddy went to east Tennessee for Nana's funeral. John taking it slow . . .
until he spied a crab.
After his week long pursuit, he finally caught a crab. He was so proud!!
Sweet girl in the seashells!
Chilling!
Our little crab friend after being released, he spent most of the morning in a bucket.
Worn out from a morning at the beach.
