What A Good Day!

Anyone that knows me well, knows that I LOVE Mayfield's Chocolate Milk. Really I am a fan of most any Mayfield's product. I grew up in Athens, Tennessee which is the home of Mayfield Dairy Fans. The ice cream products you have been able to get as far south as Key West but the milk is only available to LaGrange, GA. I have actually driven over an hour to get chocolate milk when I was really wanting some. So today I was in the commissary doing my grocery shopping and look up and see Mayfield's milk products. I was SO EXCITED! I snapped off a picture and text it to some family who would appreciate my happiness. When I go home my brother Rylan and I drink a gallon a day so when I got to tell Burt about my discovery he said, "So you got one?" I said, "Huh?" Ok, you got two. Yes, I got two chocolate milks and one white milk. I am also a bit of a snob when it comes to white milk as well. I will only drink Mayfield milk. So thank you Mr. Scottie Mayfield, you have made my day! Now I will just have to work on it getting to Fort Campbell!

Atlanta Symphony Orchestra

Friday night we ventured out to one of our favorite venues, Callaway Gardens. The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra was playing at Robin Lake Beach. We packed up a picnic dinner, blanket, and a chair for Mommy. It was a beautiful night and a great concert. Since the concert was at the beach, John enjoyed spending time in the sand. Callaway is one of the top things we will miss about being in Columbus. It is a short drive away and with our annual membership we try to take advantage of it as much as possible.

Helping Daddy with Clara's Room

We are not really putting together a "room" for Clara, although John does refer to the extra bedroom as Clara's room. Since we are set to move this summer, we are leaving the bedroom as is and adding a few baby things; the swing, a new glider rocker, and a closet full of clothes. John and Daddy had to fix the glider so I took a few pictures.

There isn't really anything to report on the Clara front. I am 37 weeks and 4 days pregnant so technically she could come any day. John was 8 days late after I was finally induced. And if you do the horoscope thing we are now in the Taurus time. (I don't believe in them, I don't even know how to refer to them, Taurus time? but I am a Taurus and I am stubborn, so I choose to believe she will be too.) So I guess we are officially playing the waiting game! I did have some contractions every 20-30 minutes on Friday night for a few hours but they stopped. This was the same that happened to John as well, contractions for a few nights then they stopped for several weeks. We will just wait and see. I just hope to make until my sis, Danielle aka Aunt Lola, gets done with finals so her and Mimmie can make it down here.

The Riverwalk

After the baseball game on Sunday, we walked to the Riverwalk. I enjoyed just taking some candid shots of John and his Daddy. I am trying to work on my camera skills. It is still a work in progress.

The Baseball Game

One of our favorite spring and summertime activities in Columbus is the minor league baseball team, the Columbus Catfish. This is our third summer to enjoy the festivities. I mentioned to Burt how far we have come in the past few years. We almost made it through an entire game on Sunday. We used to be good for about 3 innings. This will be another one of the things we will miss when we move.

On the way to the ballgame, we had a sleepy boy since it was naptime. Five minutes later, here is our boy!The boys ready for the game.
Just a sweet face!

One of the favorite parts of the baseball game, The Italian Ice. I have to get every last drop!Mommy and John Showing off my blue mouth, teeth, and between the eyes where I held the cup up.

That was really good!

My "Baby" John

Since we have been getting out baby items for Clara, John has taken to playing with them. I keep threatening that if he wants to play with the baby toys we must need to give Clara the tractor, the jeep, the lawnmower . . . Although he doesn't think this is a good idea, he has yet to give up these baby things. I guess he didn't want anyone to know it was him playing with the baby toy.
Hmmm, let me check this out.
I need to make sure these toys work before Clara plays with them.
Cheese Mommy!

My Little Handyman

The other night John has his screwdriver fixing the cabinet and the drawer. These pictures will be especially special to Grammy because when Burt was about this age, he used the screwdriver to actually take the kitchen cabinet door off the hinges. When Burt and I saw John doing this we got a good laugh knowing the story of how he did the same thing.

Clara's Baby Shower #2

Last Saturday, my friends Missy and Katie threw me a baby shower for the residency females, ok it was all spouses except one. I once again got lots of wonderful gifts for Clara. We had a great time playing games and just laughing.

Here Katie is the winner of how big my belly was, we were at her shower a year ago so they thought she had an unfair advantage. Missy was WAY off.

We played Baby Shower cranium. It was so much fun and hilarious. Needless to say, the three moms won!! Katie sculpting during the game.
Stacy acting out one of the clues. Katie acting out Kelly Ripa, as the celebrity mom you would want with you in the delivery room.
Chrystina sculptingCristi and Stacy acting out a nursery rhyme. Christi had to be the puppet while Stacy was the puppet master. It was "The Cow Jumping Over the Moon." During the pictionary portion of the game, Chrystina had to draw a picture of my doctor - Dr. Kennedy. It wasn't the most descriptive picture but I guessed it from the glasses. Too bad Dr. Kennedy had Lasik surgery done about a year ago and doesn't wear glasses anymore. This is a picture of Baby Clara - I don't think there are words to descibe it.
The Yummy Cake that Chrystina brought!Opening gifts!!

It was actually a late night. We ended up playing Scattegories for a while after we were done with the shower stuff. It was nice to just have a girls night out.
