It is Truly All About the Dirt!

Once again we ended up outside playing in the dirt today. It was actually Mommy and Daddy's planting in the yard day so I was more than happy to help in any way that I could.

Here I am playing in the hole Daddy dug for a plant. I thought this was really cool. "Cool" is my new word.

Daddy, I told you Mommy wanted the plant over there.
Just posing with Daddy
My after nap pose, I had to strip down before I went in for a nap and be hosed down. The water was cold but I thought it was fun.
Let's see what I can do with this tool
Daddy I think I need to tell you my opinion on how to do this.I have learned by watching mommy and daddy you step on the shovel to get it in the ground. Now I will try.

Water + Dirt = MUD

I don't know why we think kids need toys when they find things to play with by simply walking outside.

Yes, this is fun stuff!
Want some mud Mommy?
Splish, Splash, I am going to need a bath!
This is way fun, can we do this again tomorrow?
After John got done with this endeavor, he proceeded to chase me around the yard as he needed his mom. He thought that was sooo funny! Mom doesn't do mud so John had to be hosed off first.

The Art of Chocolate Chip Cookies

One of John's little buds from Playgroup moved into the neighborhood so we thought we would make some chocolate chip cookies for them. Dad is on call today so it also helped pass the time. John has helped with this task before and now everytime he sees the mixer he says, "Cookie." No one can say he can't take after his mother in that respect.

Hmmm, what all goes in the bowl?
I will just mix this sugar up. I am a little afraid of the mixer when it is on but when it is off I like it.
This is the good stuff.
Maybe I will have a little taste.

We need to make sure it is all mixed together.

Look what I did Mom!These things take way too long to cook. I am a little impatient, maybe another trait I received from Mommy?I have to blow on them because they are HOT!I am a good sharer, I had to see if Mommy wanted a bite too!
I am a happy camper now! Mom doesn't let me have these things often. Those were good!

Bathtime

Bathtime is one of our favorite times. Lately John has been having bathtime in Mommy and Daddy's big bathtub. Luckily this is an enjoyable activity since some of John's favorite activities involve playing in the dirt, mud, pinestraw, and water outside.

Weekend in Tally!

This weekend we went to see Grammy and Grandad in Tallahassee! In addition to the fun John usually has with Abby, Ikey, and BT, there were five new puppies to play with. John even picked one out for his own. It won't come live with us until June though.

BT is not the friendliest of cats but John tries to love on the kitty.

This is Abby!

Here is Abby's tent, where she and the puppies were going to stay. Grammy had other plans. The puppies are living in Grammy and Grandad's bathroom.

John is helping Grandad give the dogs water.

Here are the puppies!
