John's First Field Trip

John took his first field trip with school. They walked to the fire station and after John going back and forth several times he decided he wanted me to go with him. (I was hoping he would.)

Abe doesn't get the recognition he deserves as our third child but as I have had to take care of him more, I am guessing he should and will. We were playing ball and this is how he ended up with the ball. I thought it was funny. Clara on the phone and John with his bow and arrow. I love that Clara is wearing John's old rain boots.

John's Broccoli Plant

John planted this broccoli plant at the beginning of the summer and it has really grown. There are some small pieces of broccoli on it (that Clara likes to go and snag to eat) but he is just happy it is so big.

Old Chicago Kids' Night

Tuesday night at Old Chicago is Kids' Night. The kids loved it!! We took our friends Katy and Kara with us and John and Kara have decided we must go back every Tuesday. It was really great. The kids pick their toppings for their pizza and they bring out the dough in the individual pans with all their toppings. They put on the sauce, cheese, and toppings. It was a lot of fun! Swim Time

I had been telling John we would go swimming at Nana and Papaw's over Labor Day weekend. He had been wanting to jump off the diving board and go off the slide since he has learned to swim. Well, who would have thought how cool it would be in east Tennessee over Labor Day. Well, the Monday morning before we left we headed back over to Nana and Papaw's for the kids to swim. It was cold but John didn't seem to mind at all.
