Kindermusik

At the OSC super sign-up, we were able to sign up for a free Kindermusik class for each of the kids. John went on Monday and he was so NOT into it. That would be my son, you see the one laying on his back and the hat covering his head while all of the other children are playing their stick instruments. So the teacher modified so all the children were laying on their backs, so that would be John sitting up!!
Ok, so not into it a little bit!
Actually running around with the teacher!
He was not interested in the class at all until all of the other children who were signed up received their packet of activities. He then lost it and was crying because he wanted the "stuff." He even admited to me the only reason he wanted to go to the class was so he could get the stuff. Needless to say, Mommy is not paying $240 so we can get the "stuff."
Clara went the next day and she enjoyed her class more but was still running around. I might decide to do a session with her later but for now we are waiting for PDO to start.

Grammy and Grandad's Visit

Grammy and Grandad came for a short visit last weekend to bring us our yellow pup back. They have had him since Burt's surgery in May.

Here Grandad is spotting John doing his pull-ups. Grammy taking Clara for a ride in the Cozy Coupe.
John and Grandad playing guns with the golf clubs.
Clara walking in the alley behind the house.
John shooting at us with his finger gun (do you see a theme here? Army brats!!)
Grammy with the kiddos!
We enjoyed the visit! Maybe next time you can stay longer than 21 hours!!

Fifteen Months

Clara was fifteen months on Sunday and here are some pictures of the day.

Seriously, this is about my favorite picture of her to date. She is constantly making this face, whether she makes it in a mad context or happy, she squints up her nose and it cracks me up!! Being sweet
So you can see how long her hair is getting!
Just too precious for words!

Week of the Eagles Concert

Fort Campbell is home of the 101st Screaming Eagles so in honor of them this week is Week of the Eagles. Friday night we enjoyed the festivities by going to the concert. John Rich, Hank Williams Jr., Jake Owens, and Carrie Underwood performed. Quite a lineup for a free concert on post!

The kids pre-concertJohn's reaction to the loud music, luckily he got over it. I think he enjoyed the bouncy houses and the rock climbing wall more though. My sweet girl at her first concert!John Rich performing Hank Williams Jr.

All in all it was a great night! We enjoyed some Buffalo Wild Wings!! Yummy! Something we have missed greatly since leaving Columbus. We left about 11 from the concert. John passed out on the walk to the truck but Clara was still awake 4 hours past her bedtime.

Sunday Best

Trying to take some pictures before church is probably not a good idea since we are always running late but I try.
Isn't he funny posing? They are cracking me up!
Has to be one of my favorite shots! She wouldn't leave the hat on but it is just so sweet.

More House Pictures

Clara's room is ready for show and tell. Other than not having a dresser, which we have been looking for one for over a year, it is complete. On a side note, Clara officially got weened two weeks ago! Woo hoo!

She got this wall cross in her Easter basket and I love it! It matches her room perfectly and was also the verse we used on her birth announcement. View from the door -

John's room from the door - we are in the process of redoing his room. We have been looking for bunkbeds and are having a problem finding one that we like that has furniture to match. I also have him new bedding to match the green walls. Luckily, the green matches his old bedding too.
I haven't put anything on the walls in here since we are getting new furniture so basically everything is sitting on the shelves or in the floor.More stuff on the floor - Here is the master bedroom. This is a work in progress as well. We painted the walls beige and the bedding is going to stay but we are looking for a new bedroom suite for us. We figure using some of my old stuff that I got in 8th grade, my cedar chest my grandpa made me in 5th grade, as well as the bedside tables my grandpa made us as a wedding gift, we have got quite a hodge podge. We are going to reassign the items my grandpa made to other rooms and are ready to get rid of the old 8th grade furniture. So if we ever find what we are looking for, you will get an after shot.
