What A Weekend!!

This weekend was an AWESOME weekend! Friday and Saturday I got the privelege to attend a Living Proof Live event in Jacksonville with Beth Moore. I have been enjoying Bible studies written by Beth Moore for about the past two years and have been wanting to attend an event for a while. With the awesome help of my in-laws, thanks Grammy and Grandad, by taking John for the weekend I was able to attend. I was totally filled with the Lord's presence and was able to bask in the awesomeness of God. If you have not been able to do a Beth Moore study, I strongly encourage it. They can take some time but what you learn and grow in the Lord is amazing. She has an incredible love for the Lord and makes you want to grow more on fire for him as well. You can go to http://livingproofministries.blogspot.com/ to see a recap of the weekend.

Friday night we were in line at about 4:30 with the doors opening early at 6 pm our group was able to get on the first 3 rows of 14,500 people. Here is Beth Moore the first night.

Sara and I before Friday night's event. Ok, so Saturday morning we were up at 4:30 after heading to bed after midnight. At 5:15 am we were the first ones at the door. Front row for us again. Woo hoo! Kim likes to be up close!! The funny thing is that at about 7:20 they let special needs in. One of the special needs folk was pregnant so everyone in our group was like, she's pregnant too! The security guard let Kim and I in early since I was "special needs." After being out there for over 2 hours, I was let in early. I couldn't believe I was labeled special needs due to pregnancy. We still would have been on the front but we were able to walk slowly in and get our seats.

This is not our whole group, as some elected to let us save their seats. Myself, Sharon, Kim, Sara, Katie, Tricia, Julie, and Dana
Up close and personal as Beth Moore was praising the Lord. Beth Moore teaching on Saturday.
After the conference we went for lunch, here Kim and I are eating a nice big piece of chocolate cake. We stayed in Jacksonville until Sunday and had a great girls weekend.

The Loot

John was very excited for what all the Easter Bunny brought him. He would not however have anything to do with the Easter Bunny when we tried to get our picture made with him at the mall or at the Benning Club at brunch. Some new grill food I am cool in my new shades!
A new plate, the drama! A piece of dark chocolate, yummy!

A new Clifford book!
Look Daddy! It is my chocolate bunny!

Waiting for the Easter Bunny

Saturday night we had to put out our Easter baskets for the Easter Bunny to bring some treats.
John was very excited because we have been reading Here Comes Peter Cottontail and it says that the Easter Bunny brings chocolate bunnies. He has been talking about those chocolate bunnies for a while.
John's Easter basket after the Easter Bunny made his delivery. Even Mommy and Daddy got some treats. Daddy's basket is the smallest but he doesn't eat a lot of sweets. I think we probably have Easter candy of his from last year. Mommy got an Easter basket from Mimmie and Popsy. She loves that she still gets her Easter basket filled.

Dyeing Easter Eggs

We did dye Easter Eggs this year. John was much more into it this year than in the past. He made quite a mess and I am glad he insisted on being naked. Daddy and John dyeing eggs.

Easter Egg Hunt with My Buds

On Friday, we went over to Mrs. Sara's house (aka Ben and Kate's Mommy, Luke and Anna too, they are just usually at school) for an Easter playgroup. We hunted Easter eggs and ate snacks. It was so much fun. John would live over there if we let him.

The Easter Bunny even made an appearance.Emerson wanting the candy in his egg. Kate playing with John's hair. These two are quite a pair. They are so funny playing together and loving on each other.

John and Kate, don't they look like a little couple? Just hanging out!

Church Easter Egg Hunt

Thursday we went to the Easter Egg Hunt for the church at Ms. Tyler's home. She has been hosting the St. Paul Easter Egg Hunt for over 30 years at her beautiful home. We enjoyed hunting eggs. John didn't like getting the plastic eggs, he hadn't quite figured out there was candy in them. He picked up the candy eggs. He already knew they were candy so why bother with the hassle. Although, once he tried the eggs he didn't like them. He just doesn't like candy but loves chocolate.
John and Robert discussing strategy. Checking out the eggs. Picking up some eggs.
Showing Mommy what all he has got.

On the Farm

While in Tennessee we did get to visit out on the farm. Cousins Lily and Baylor were headed back from Tallahassee and stopped so we could see them. John loves hanging out on Nanny's farm. There is so much for a little boy to do.

Checking out the pony. John would not have anything to do with it. I did not understand this. He loved the ponies at Steeplechase and rode them twice. The big cousins leading John to the tractor, his favorite thing on the farm.
