Callaway Again?

On Wednesday we headed to Callaway Gardens once again. This time with our Summer playgroup. We had a nice day except for the 10 minute nap John decided to take for the whole day.

Here we are getting ready and John has Mommy's sunglasses on. Here is an owl from the Birds of Prey show that John watched for about 15 seconds.
So we headed off to feed the ducks. Here John needs some money for the food.
Throwing the food in for the ducks, turtles, and fish.
Here are the duckies and there is a turtle in there on the right lower quadrant.
John and some of the others from our group feeding the ducks. (They left the show soon after us.)

Here is what we really came for the BEACH!!!

Playing in the sand.
Hey Mommy, can you believe I am actually looking at the camera?

Just taking it easy!

This is the life!

The hat only stays on for so long you know?

Take Me Out to the Ballgame . . .

Saturday evening we took a trip to the Columbus Catfish game, our local minor league baseball team.

Dad and John watching the action
It was Military Night and the players had camo jerseys on. It also meant we got in free!
John very intent on the game.
Swing batter!
John clapped when ever anyone was clapping!
The mascot doing a dance. John called it a "kitty" although it is a "catfish."John and Mom at the game.
The stadium is right by the Riverwalk so we walked down there after the game.

John doing a little dance since he was very hyped up.

Mowing with Dad

John is obsessed with the Mower. It is his favorite word by far. He always wants to mow. He has now learned weedeater and blower. Dad is just looking forward to the day he really can help with yard work.
Finally going to work with John's lawnmower.

My new hat that I like to wear that is like Dad's hat.
Taking a break while Dad continues his mowing. I am really doing some relaxing putting my feet up.

Hunter and Hayden's Birthday Party

Saturday John had a birthday party to go to for brothers Hunter and Hayden. Hunter turned 3 and Hayden turned 1! Their birthdays are 4 days apart.

We didn't get a picture of Hunter but Hayden is the little guy on the left.

A Visitor from Tally

Thursday night, we had Daddy's friend Curt over for dinner. He came all the way from Tallahassee (Yes, Uncle Jack I know you visited once too but I was only three days old and I don't remember it.) Curt is a friend from Dads from high school. They played football together. Curt came up to Fort Benning to do some Reserve training and was able to visit with Daddy last weekend and then come see us on Thursday.

Here I am with Dad "watching" some tv.
Showing Curt my belly button.
I cozied up to Curt real quick. He has two boys of his own so he knows little boys.

Non and Bro

Yesterday was a day full of John and Brody playtime. Brody came over to the house to play with John's Jeep and they played with lawn mowers of course. These two are the best of friends and I don't know what John is going to do when Brody moves next week.

Giving each other a hugTaking a ride
Just cheesing it with their hats
After the boys' nap we took a trip to the pool where we ran into the boys' friends Emerson and Lauren with their moms.

John stealing Brody's hat at the pool
John doing some swimming

The boys again

The boys also played together after dinner at Brody's house. When they hugged each other bye, Brody said "Cheese." I think we might have taken a few pictures yesterday.

Callaway Again?!?

Yesterday we seriously needed to get out of the house. John wanted cookies, ice cream, juice, you name it. So we, as in Mommy, decided we needed to go somewhere. Since it was going to be 96 degrees and the pool is closed on Monday, I decided a trip to the beach at Callaway was in order. So we threw a few things in the car and off we went. It was a nice two hours followed by an even nicer three and half hour nap. I have a feeling there will be several more trips to Callaway.

I think I have enough sand toys, but not quite for sure.

Checking to make sure these things work.
Yes, once again I am fearless and just walk right into the water. I would keep going until Mommy stopped me and steered me in the other direction. I love the water!

Just doing a little sunbathing in the water. Wake me when I am tan!
Just taking a little break.
I finally decided to get in the float with much encouragement from Mom, although it was not for long.Another fun activity was playing on the playground equipment.

Taking a Cheetos break. What a great snack! As mommy said, she packed in a hurry, at least they were baked. "Cheesing" it with mom. (My cheese was from the cheetos.)
