President Bush's Visit

What a historic day for our family! President Bush came to Fort Campbell and we were able to go as a family!!

Waiting for his arrival while a bluegrass band played. Our little patriotic boy!

Family shots, just so you know it was cold!

Air Force One is in the background, it had just landed.

John was such a good boy all day!

Look at the Secret Service all around, their were snipers on the roof too. More pictures with the soldiers

Goodbye Mr. President! Thanks for coming to visit. It was totally worth getting up at 5:45 am with two kids in the cold. The boys after the festivities, waiting for the next two hours to get back on the bus to get back to the car.

The Kids

I put this intertube around Clara the other day so it would cushion her if she fell over. It was quite comical.

So of course if Clara had it around her, John had to have one around him too.

New Foods

So we have finally started on some food for Clara. I like to wait the 6 months before starting the kids on anything. Clara has tried rice cereal, which she is not a big fan of, and oatmeal, which she likes better.

Here is the first day of Rice Cereal
First day of oatmealI don't think she likes a dirty mouth. She takes her bib to wipe off her mouth everytime she eats.Big brother likes to get in on the action. He enjoys feeding his sister but tends to give her too big of bites.

Too Quiet

You should know if it is quiet in the house that it is not a good thing. John told me to go sit on the couch, hmmm, I should have known something was up then.

In all fairness to John, Sara might get some of the blame for this one. She had painted the kids' faces for Anna's party the day we arrived in Columbus and asked if the kids wanted their faces painted for Kate's party. He did get in trouble and has not been able to play with his paints since then though.
