First Day of School

This is John's third week of school but I am just now getting to post his first day. He goes two days a week from 9-2:30 at a local Methodist church, but not the one we are going to. So far he is doing great and is even taking naps. How in the world do they get him to do that?

Wakulla Springs

A trip to Tallahassee isn't complete without a trip to Wakulla Springs. It has to be Grandad's favorite attraction for out of town guests. We went back in June but it rained so John couldn't go out in a boat, which he wanted to do. So Grammy, Grandad, Dad, and John went back to Wakulla on this visit.

Playing Doctor

Our morning time routine has turned into John wanting to "play" with his sister first thing. Here he is playing doctor with her. I think I will cut your hair with these scissors.
Time for your shot, we had been talking about Clara's check-up and having to get her shots.

"Hmmm, what am I going to do to her next?" says John. "Mommy please make him stop," says Clara.

Cousin Caroline

On our way back from the beach we spent the night in Birmingham and were able to catch up with my cousin Josh, his wife Alicia, and their sweet baby girl Caroline. Caroline is almost 9 months and this was our first time meeting her. It was great to be able to do a quick catch-up over breakfast.
I think Caroline was fascinated with Clara and Clara was happy to meet Caroline.

Colton

Our good friends Jack and Krista welcomed a new addition about 9 weeks ago. We finally got to meet Colton. Jack says he is Clara's future boyfriend but that is yet to be determined. But he is a little stud.

Florida State game

While we were on vacation we were able to take in two Florida State football games.

Clara enjoying pregame festivities even though she wasn't able to attend the game. Unconquered - Grammy has a whole theory about this statue. She said FSU had good seasons until they got cocky and built this statue.
