Time with Grammy

It was so much fun to stay with Grammy and Grandad while Mommy and Daddy were gone. Mommy captured a few shots of Grammy and I at the park while they were getting ready to leave.

Seriously Mommy I thought you and Daddy were leaving! I am ready to be spoiled.

Mommy and Daddy's Trip

As we mentioned earlier, Mommy and Daddy went to Apalachicola for a few days for a little vacation. We have been there several times but it was the first time we actually stayed overnight. Here is where we stayed, at the historic Gibson Inn. It was built in 1907 and was a really neat place. One day we drove over to Saint Joseph State Park. It was a beautiful day at the beach even though it was chilly.

Mommy posing for the camera.

It truly was a beautiful day!
When we were leaving the park we saw some deer. It is kind of hard to tell from the picture but this one was really close.

Carabelle Beach

Well, Mommy and Daddy received a much needed 4 day weekend without John and Abe. We drove down to Tallahassee dropped the boys off with Grammy and Grandad and then headed to Apalachicola. On our way there Burt spotted a bald eagle on the beach in Carabelle so we stopped and tried to get some shots of it. There actually turned out to be two. It was a real birds of prey show as they had found them some food.
Just some beach shots.

A Package in the Mail

We love receiving packages in the mail and last week before we headed to Florida we received one from "Aunt" Brandi, "Uncle" Ryan, Kennedy, and P. John got some cool Car pjs that he wanted to put on right away. Mommy talked him into waiting until bedtime though. Also, baby sister Clara got her first present in the mail. One being her first UT outfit. Go Vols and this other cute Baby Nay outfit. How did we know "Aunt" Brandi would be the first one to buy little girl clothes? Thanks Armstrongs.

Playing with my friends

Here are some pictures from the other night when Mommy watched Hunter and Hayden. They are some of my good friends and I loved having them over to play. Mommy was pooped after having a 3-year-old, a 2-year-old, and a 1-year-old to watch but we had a good time.

Hunter, John, and Hayden enjoying a goldfish snack. Here comes Thomas, this is where we spent most of our afternoon and evening. Hunter dressed up in John's Halloween costume making silly faces. John trying to copy Hunter.

Weekend Fun

This weekend Daddy had three days off, we can't remember the last time that happened. We had a great weekend. Daddy and I spent lots of quality guy time together.

Helping Daddy with a weekend fix-it project. Using my screwdriver like Daddy

Notice Daddy on the phone trying to get some help. Reading my book, one of my new favorite activities. Mommy loves that I love to read.
Yes, I was reading to Abe.

My First Visit to the Varsity

What is a trip to Atlanta without a trip to the famed Varsity? We decided on our way back from our visit with the cousins we would stop in. John had his first Varsity experience which is a rite of passage for Dad's side of the family. Getting ready for my food.

John and Daddy excited about the trip.
Biting in
My first bite of a Varsity Naked Dog! Drinking my chocolate shake
Overall, pretty high marks! Especially for the chocolate shake.

A Visit with Cousin Rosie

Yesterday we ventured off to Atlanta to visit with cousins Sally, Matt, and Rosie. I think John has found him a new friend in Rosie. He wanted to feed her goldfish and chocolate while we were there. He also wanted to take her home with us where she would sleep in his bed. Then we were leaving and were going to get ice cream he wanted to bring some back for Baby Rosie and Sally. We still have a ways to go on the gentleness with babies but we are getting there.

We weren't there a few minutes and John reached down to hold Rosie's hand. Yes, I am holding her hand, but don't look too long because I don't want you all to know I like her. Rosie and John

I brought her some of my favorite books to read her. Here is sweet baby Rosie!

Daddy holding Rosie, me with my goldfish thinking that I will be nice and share. Yes, even I got to hold baby Rosie. Isn't she sweet!
Oh, and if you are wondering why there aren't any pictures of the new parents, Matt was at work. He did stop by to see us for lunch and Sally was refusing any pictures. I do have one but I was nice and didn't post it for her.

Playing Outside

I am behind on posting some pictures but am trying to catch up. I guess this was 2 Sundays ago when Daddy was doing rounds until late afternoon. John came home from church and wanted to play football. Here he is as the kicker. Now I am going to run with it.
Thinking over what to drive for the day.
I guess I will take the Jeep out for a spin.
I had to give you a better shot of the hat and hair. John for some reason likes to wear his hat either sideways or backwards. This day it was sideways and since he is a tad bit independent, he put it on himself. Everytime I looked at him I had to laugh with that hair sticking out the side.
