Snuggling with Daddy

Every morning I bring Clara in the bed to snuggle. She loves to snuggle and I am so tired by that last feeding I just want to sleep. When I got out of bed to get ready for church she started crying so Daddy got her to snuggle with him. She was quite happy she had someone to snuggle with.

I think she looks like Jenny from the Block with her hat on. She probably has more brains since J. Lo can't understand what the big deal is that Michael Phelps won 8 gold medals.

Ice Cream at Cold Stone

We went out for ice cream at Cold Stone and John loved his blue ice cream!

Buttermilk Waffles

John has been wanting me for some time to make homemade buttermilk waffles but I always forget the buttermilk at the commissary. I finally remembered it and we have been making homemade waffles for the past few days. The only problem is John thought the waffles would magically bring his Uncle Rylan and Uncle Jace to our house. I had made them when his uncles came to visit last summer and he thought if we made them again they would be there to eat them. When I put the batter in the waffle iron he looked up at me and said, "Rylan, Jace be here?" I felt so bad telling him no.

John is a monkey and finding a rock climbing wall is just what he needs.

Splash Time

One of the big benefits on post is this Splash park. It allows John to play in the water but I can sit in the shade with Clara. He is always a little apprehensive at first.

She woke up and enjoyed herself as well.

She is such a happy baby! One of John's favorite reasons to go to the splash park -Caramel Frappuccino! I know I doom myself with this one but I have to reward myself as well. It is pretty big of me to let him drink this one since I don't even let him have soda and very rarely sweet tea.

John the artist

John is one very active boy as most of you know. I found the longest I can get him to sit still is to paint. He loves it.


Somedays he is so tired he falls asleep sitting straight up.

The Princess

And she tires herself out on her playgym. It is a hard life she leads!
