John's School Party

John's Class Holiday Party was actually the week before school let out. I went to help out and enjoyed seeing all the kids and putting faces with names.

Our MOPS Christmas meeting was a joint meeting between our two groups. We had a cake decorating contest for making a Happy Birthday Jesus cake! Here is ours. I have to say we did pretty good but didn't win.

We also had a tacky Christmas sweater contest - which I did win!! I borrowed my friend Laura's sweater so I sent her the prize.

John's School "Holiday" Program

We were able to watch John's "Holiday" program at school. Singing about gingerbread cookies and mittens. Have to say we weren't too impressed with the non-Christmas approach and celebrate whatever holiday you celebrate from the principal. We did enjoy watching our boy though.

Christmas Tree Farm

Last Sunday we ventured out in the rain to get a Christmas tree. With a very busy December it really was our only day if we wanted to have a decorated house before Christmas Eve. Picture with Santa before we head out in the rain.

This hill usually has suckers at the top for kids to climb. The suckers were inside this year because of the rain but the kids still wanted to climb it.

Trying to get these two to pose for a picture is difficult. I try to get pictures when they are coordinating since it doesn't happen often but this was as good as it has gotten lately.
