Clara's First Trip to Church

Two weeks ago marked Clara's first trip to church. Mommy and Clara just went for church while Daddy and John stayed for Sunday School as well. It was nice to be back with our church family to worship. Clara went into the service with us as we aren't ready to leave her just yet.

One Month Old

Last Sunday Clara was officially one month old. Where has this month gone? Our precious girl is growing so much. She is starting to smile and her neck is becoming stronger. The girl likes to eat and is keeping her mom busy. Her brother is stil crazy about her. He is always kissing on her and tells her no whining when she cries. I think he might have heard that somewhere before.

Ella's Birthday Party

We attended our friend Ella's first birthday party on June 7th. It was a beach theme and John had so much fun. There was a kiddie pool, sand table, and a big beach ball sprinkler. They had lots of food and the cutest sandcastle cake.

Chuck E. Cheese

We met the Kolbies at Chuck E. Cheese and the kids had a ball playing and eating pizza.

Kate and John in the monster truck I think they rode this thing at least 20 times. It is funny that last time both of them were there they came off of the truck screaming. This time they took turns driving. Towards the end we didn't even have to tell them to take turns, they just switched seats.

Residency Roast

I am taking a break from the progression of pictures from the past few weeks to post pictures from last night. Every year the residency program has a roast. They tape skits or show clips to roast the other members of the program. Each class gets together to put them together as well as the staff. All of the residents have to beware of things they do all year as they can come back to haunt them. We had a great time last night as it was our last roast. There are a lot of inside jokes that only the doctors get but some of them actually make sense to spouses too.

Here is the graduating residents, minus Jay who is on a cruise right now. From L to R, Burt, Nancy, Garrett, Julie, Doug, Christine, and Jeremy. We are headed to Fort Campbell, Nancy and Garrett are moving to Fort Sill, OK (my papaw did his basic training there when it was Camp Sill for WWII), Julie is staying at Fort Benning as is Doug, Christine is going to Fort Stewart, GA, and Jeremy is headed to Germany. Christine with Clara. Clara was passed around last night quite a bit. She was great. The only time she fussed was when she wanted to eat. John stayed at home with a babysitter but since Clara is nursing she had to come with us.

This has become a custom occurance between John and Emerson. They have been spending lots of time in each other's little pools. This day was not a scheduled "pool" playdate so that is why Emerson is in his clothes. We played at Emerson's pool this morning but these are from two weeks ago.

First Trip to the Park

On June 3 we took a trip to the park. It was Clara's first trip to the park. I think her big brother enjoyed the trip much more than Clara did. Clara slept the entire time. Kate and John swinging. Kate and John
