A Visit from Grammy, Grandad, and Nana

Saturday evening we had a visit from Grammy, Grandad, and Nana. I got to open even more presents. Here is a new tool set with 42 pieces, thanks Grandad! Nana got me a new weedeater.

Christmas with Papaw, Nana La, and Uncle Larkin

We had a visit last night and today from Papaw, Nana La, and Uncle Larkin. They brought me this cool tractor for Christmas. I love it. It was one of the three things I was asking for.

Papaw was trying to fix my weedeater that I broke cutting down a real plant. I think he needs my help.

Ok, if you get a new tractor you know you have to go outside in the freezing cold to play with it. I wanted to stay outside and play all morning. Papaw showing me some of the features. Papaw watching over me in the cold.

Thanks for coming to see us and staying overnight! We love it when we have visitors. Thanks also for all of our awesome presents! I don't know if Santa will be able to top John's tractor, actually I know he won't!!!

A Visit with Santa

We finally made our trek to the mall to see Santa Claus. (We went last night but didn't have time to stand in line since Daddy had to be at work.) So Mommy and I went back today. She was very proud of me and my half smile. I did manage to tell Santa Claus in a quiet voice that I wanted presents for Christmas. Mommy was surprised that I talked to him as well. Overall, it was a great visit with the big guy. Mommy rewarded me with chocolate afterwards, my absolute favorite.

Abe and John just chillin'

Somehow Abe keeps trying to make himself an inside dog thanks to John and Daddy letting him in the house. Mommy does not like this idea one bit. John likes to hang out on Abe's pillow with him. Too bad Abe is already too big for the pillow himself. Our 9 month old dog is about 85 lbs. I keep saying I am going to get him a muzzle so he will quit waking me up but Burt informs me that I will have to get a horse muzzle because he is so big.

John said he needed a picture by himself. He had just gotten out of bed, don't you love the wild man hair?

Staying Busy with Friends

This week we have been trying to stay busy with our friends. Daddy is on nights so trying to stay quiet is a chore. Monday we went to Monkey Joe's to play and then Tuesday we went to the Columbus Museum and Chick-fil-a.

A Quick Visit with Mimmie and Popsy

Yesterday we made a quick trip to just north of Atlanta to pick up Christmas presents from Mimmie and Popsy. We were told they were presents for Mommy but Mommy thinks there were more presents for John. We ate at the "chicken place," John's favorite Chick-fil-a. Then Mimmie and Popsy let me open one of my presents.

Fantasy in Lights

As you know from our summer posts, we do enjoy our trips to Callaway Gardens. Every year around Christmas they have Fantasy in Lights. They have over 8 million lights on display. You ride the Jolly Trolley through about 7 miles of light displays. There are over a dozen light scenes. It really is pretty amazing. We went last year but this year I am really into Christmas lights. So I just stared out the side of the trolley and admired the lights. These pictures don't do them justice, if you ever have a chance you need to go.

This is the nativity display. It is on the beach and they tell the whole story of Jesus' birth. It starts out in white lights then goes into full color at the end.

Theis shows the seasons and the many different flowers at Callaway. Jack Frost comes and the flowers are frozen then the fairy comes and they come back to life.

This is one of Mommy's favorite display. You can't tell but there are white lights all around you and it is the brightest of all the displays. It is so pretty. Her other favorite is the reflection of the two lighted trees on the lake. We didn't get a good picture of that.

Decorating Cookies with Playgroup

Monday we had friends over for a playgroup to decorate Christmas cookies. We had such a good time visiting with our friends. It had been too long since we have seen some of them. We made plenty of cookies and luckily did not make too big of a mess for mom to clean up. John and Hayden
