Just My Normal Morning Routine

This week has been kind of slow for us. We did go to the museum on Wednesday and I sat for about 20 minutes watching a magician/storyteller. Mommy was impressed that I sat that long. But most mornings this week we have just been at home. We take a walk, play, and oh I always have to have a snack. I also like giving Abe snacks as well.

Do I look mischievous or what? I told Mommy I would help her water the flowers, instead I made this mud puddle. You know how I like mud and dirt!!
This is my new favorite thing, I like to build with my mega blocks. I call it "Bob the build."
Hey Mom! You want to build too?

Just a few random shots

Yesterday as I was getting ready for my nap, big fish and I went "night" on the couch. This is a new thing I have started to put big fish "night." I let him use Mommy's baby blanket and sometimes I share my "Night aka paci" with him.
This was today getting ready for church. I was riding my horse that my great-grandpa made for me. (He really made it for Mommy but she shares it with me.) It is pretty humid today so my hair is not cooperating.

Posing after church with the flowers, some rain was dropping on my hand so I am not into posing.
Saying "cheese."

Sitting in Mommy's rocking chair from when she was a little girl.

Just kicked back!My after church clothes are on and I am ready to relax.

Karis and Theron John

On Friday we had planned to meet Theron John, Karis, and their mom Katie at the pool. Well, the pool was closed due to vandals throwing popcorn in the pool. (Crazy, huh? That's what we thought.) So we headed back to our house to play in the little pool. It was better than nothing. Then Mommy watched Theron John and Karis while their Mommy went to get her hair cut.

John and Theron John playing with the train.
This is baby Karis. I really like her because her name is like car. I like to share my blanket with her sometimes when she comes over.

Saying Goodbye to My Best Friend

Yesterday we went to a 4th of July picnic at our friends and neighbors Lori, Joe, and baby Jake. It was also a going away party for Steve, Lori, and Brody (yes there were three Lori's within 5 houses of each other.) It was a good time although a sad occassion as we said Goodbye as well. (Actually the Moms and kids didn't do that until today.) Our friends will be missed and I think these little boys will miss each other the most (Although Mom has been teary-eyed for a week thinking about today.) John said goodbye to his first best friend.

Are these boys' cute or what? They do love each other. Today when Bro came to tell John bye he went into John's room to wake him up from his nap saying Non, Non. It was so sweet.
An informal game of wiffle ball was started, here Daddy is getting ready to hit the ball that Mr. Steve is ready to throw. What a hit Daddy! Brody and Mr. Steve getting ready to hit. There is the other Ms. Lori and baby Jake.
John chasing Brody

Now let's go the other way.
Brody getting ready to "mow."
These boys are ready to do some yardwork.

Brody and John having a deep conversation in Mr. Joe's garden. (I think they are discussing Brody's move as John is now saying Texas.)

Playing with some new friends.

Giving Mr. Steve a hug goodbye.
Wanting some of Brody's drink.
Ms. Lori giving John some of Brody's drink.

Yes, Mom was there too!

Happy 4th of July (A Day Late)

This year we were not able to continue our tradition of swimming at Aunt Laura's house on the 4th of July so we had to make due with John's backyard pool. Mommy has been going to Aunt Laura's house since she was 16 which was 5 years before she even met Daddy. We missed you Aunt La and crew!

The boys just chillin'!

I am a pro at this slide business!

The Adventures with Maddie

Saturday night we went over to some friends' house for dinner. They have two little girls Maddie, who is eleven months older than John, and Myra Kate, who is two months old. Well, why the parents were still eating dinner we look over and Maddie has John in the floor painting his toenails! He was just sitting there letting her do it. (If you are around John, you know he doesn't sit still.) Well, she got one foot done and then John looks at us and says Please and starts a little cry. We told him to just get up and she would stop. It was like he did whatever Maddie wanted. It was too funny! So here are a few pictures of his foot.
Just enjoying some "male bonding" with Daddy the morning after.

Learning from Daddy

John is into the stage he wants to do whatever we are doing. This includes shaving like Daddy. Daddy instructed John on the finer points of shaving. (Don't worry he didn't use the actual sharp part.)

Callaway Again?

On Wednesday we headed to Callaway Gardens once again. This time with our Summer playgroup. We had a nice day except for the 10 minute nap John decided to take for the whole day.

Here we are getting ready and John has Mommy's sunglasses on. Here is an owl from the Birds of Prey show that John watched for about 15 seconds.
So we headed off to feed the ducks. Here John needs some money for the food.
Throwing the food in for the ducks, turtles, and fish.
Here are the duckies and there is a turtle in there on the right lower quadrant.
John and some of the others from our group feeding the ducks. (They left the show soon after us.)

Here is what we really came for the BEACH!!!

Playing in the sand.
Hey Mommy, can you believe I am actually looking at the camera?

Just taking it easy!

This is the life!

The hat only stays on for so long you know?
