Shelby's Birthday Party

Last weekend John went to his friend Shelby's birthday party. He had a good time but for some reason was a little timid. I actually didn't get too many pictures with my camera because I was taking pictures with Shelby's mom's camera.

Preschool Open House

The other night we went to John and Clara's preschool open house. They were both able to meet their teachers and John's class had toys out to play with. I think Clara enjoyed his class more. The kids will go two days a week starting on Monday.

The Passionate Fan

Seriously John is about the most diehard Florida State fan I know. He is beyond the point of being obnoxious, and this is his mom talking. Here he is watching the game! Doing the chop! Going outside to wave the flag around after the kickoff.

We let him stay up until halftime and then he had to go to bed. When he got up Tuesday morning, he refused to believe his mom that FSU had lost. He said, "No they didn't. They won." (in a smarty pants tone) He didn't embrace that they lost until his dad told him. Oh, that boy!

Shooting Range

Burt took John on his first trip to the shooting range on Sunday. He was quite proud of himself and loved shooting the gun. Here he is with his target.

Chick-fil-a Night

Our family is all about some Chick-fil-a. John, Clara, and I eat there at least once a week. The past two years we have taken advantage of their Labor Day promotion by wearing your team gear to get free food. So last night we put on our respective team gear and went to get some free chicken. Someone actually stopped by our table and asked what we did when we play each other. People don't realize how much I love this question because the last time we played was in 1999 for the 1998 National Championship. We know that this turned out in the Vols' favor! Go Vols!
