John's New Habit

John likes to get in bed with his sister when she wakes up. He gets in there and plays with her. It is really sweet. One morning I heard him go in there and then he was going to come out. I hear him saying, "Sister, I will be right back. I will be back in just a minute. Don't cry, I will be right back." She started crying when he left so I went to see what he needed. He needed a blanket since he was in the bed with her. I love that he loves his sister so much!

More Mother's Day

We went to Cole Park for lunch on Mother's Day like we did for Easter. I have to say my favorite thing, which the kids enjoy as well, is the chocolate fountain.

Mother's Day

We took a few pictures before church today. I feel so blessed that God has entrusted me with these sweet children to raise.

Clara is wearing one of my baby dresses. I know I wore this my first Easter because I have my picture made in it. If our scanner wasn't in storage I would scan a photo in. Burt looked at it today and said it was amazing how much we look alike.

Aunt Brandi gave us a big box of Kennedy's old clothes for Clara. Clara thought she needed to go through them and see what she liked.

Day with Papaw and Nana

While we were in east Tennessee we got to spend the day with Papaw, Nana, and crew. We started the day off meeting them EARLY at the Athens Regional Park for the Fishing Rodeo. They stock the pond with fish and then give prizes for catching tagged fish or when they say next fish out.

After the kids got tired of fishing, we headed over to Papaw and Nana's house to play. John dressed up as a knight.

I tried to get Clara to take a nap but she knew there was more going on outside. She refused a nap the whole day! Whoa! What a day for Mommy.

If our door is open, Clara is always standing at the storm door. She loves to be outside just like her big brother. It's funny if her Daddy or brother are outside she will bang on the door and grunt.

New Bike

If you know me at all, you know I enter every little contest. It has come to my advantage as I won a trip to Italy a few years back. At Easter brunch at Cole Park I entered a contest to win a boy or girl's bike. Well, I won the girl's bike. Although John is the one who needs a new bike, Clara is the proud receipent of a new bike. Look for a post on her 2nd birthday when she actually receives it, ha! Clara checking out her new ride.
