Nine Months Old

Clara was nine months old on Sunday, February 15. Today we went to the doctor and she weighs 17 lbs. which puts her just below the 25th percentile. She is 27 3/4 inches long and at about the 60th percentile. She has fallen down on the scale but I think she is just going to be a petite little thing. She is babbling a lot more, saying mama and dada quite often. She still isn't too interested in crawling but will scoot backwards. She still likes to stand holding on to things. We are still trying to get her to like some foods but she is not too into them. Although at lunch today she grabbed a pickle and enjoyed sucking on it. Go figure! Visit to the Fire Station

Grammy took John to the fire station to see the fire trucks and the fire fighters. He is in the stage where he loves firetrucks, firemen, and pretending to be one. He loved going to the fire station! One of the trucks even left on a call as he was getting ready to get into the car.

Mimmie and Popsy's House

We have been away for 11 days and here is the start of the pictures. We spent the night at Mimmie and Popsy's house on the way to Tallahassee.

John and I have been trying to do some art projects lately. We have been having a fun time and John really likes being a little artist.

Sleepy Girl

The other night Clara was still in her highchair after she ate her babyfood. The poor little thing was so tired she just fell asleep sitting there.

With Clara loving to stand and moving her little feet while we hold her hands, I decided I would put together her little walker stroller that Papaw and Nana got her for Christmas. She loves standing with it. I don't think she is ready to use it unassisted but she loves standing with it. Her brother even went and got her babydoll for her to push around.
