Around the House

It has been cold here so we have been spending lots of time inside. Clara has had a runny nose so I haven't wanted her out in the cold too much.

Here is John and his sister watching some morning TV. John always asks for his sister to sit beside him. He has also become so good at sharing. He is always bringing her toys when he is playing. He really is a great big brother. He also had to make sure she was covered up because it is cold.

The other day she had this patch of hair sticking up. So into a bow it went. Can't wait until we can put bows in it all the time.

John's Interests

All day, everyday, John is changing costumes. He goes from one to the other all day. He also adds his own accessories. Here he is as a red power ranger with his addition of goggles, tobaggon, and cowboy boots. He also becomes a pirate, Buzz Lightyear, cowboy, firefighter, and a doctor throughout the day. He also lets me know Power Rangers climb and Buzz flies.

Clara's New Toy

Clara got her new activity table from Santa for Christmas and she LOVES playing with it. I think part of the reason is she likes to be standing up. When you try to sit her on the floor or put her in the highchair she becomes a board and doesn't want to bend. But when it comes to standing, she loves it. Of course, she is still wobbly holding on to things but it is a preference of hers. We might have an early walker. She also has no interest in crawling, she hates to be on her stomach still.

I love how her little legs spread out but she is still hanging on playing.

Burt's New Ride

Burt's old car had went to the dog so . . . he got a new truck. I know some of you can't believe it but he finally broke down and bought himself a truck. If anyone deserved a new vehicle it is my hubby. He has been driving the 1996 Accord for 3 months shy of 11 years! That's right 11 years! We only speculate on the miles because at 210,000 miles the speedometer and odomoter broke 2 1/2 years ago. The windows wouldn't roll up as well, oh, and the check engine light has been on for about 2 years. The old girl still ran though and that is why it was so hard to get rid of her. But Popsy and Burt went to Atlanta two days before Christmas and found this beauty. Thanks Popsy for going and helping us out!

Christmas Morning

After Santa came Christmas Eve, there were lots of presents!! Christmas morning John opening up his stocking.

John got two slinkys from Santa and gave one to his sister. What a great big brother!
