Starbucks Park

Well, at least that is what we call it. It just so happens that the best park on post is the one beside Starbucks. Coincidence, I think not. I was needing a caffiene fix the other day so we decided to head on over. Normally I let John have some of my drink but I really didn't want him to have any caffeine so I got him his own drink. He truly thought he was some big stuff. Running around.

Daddy called and wanted to know where we were since he had gotten off early so he joined us at the park.
Climbing wall
Running with the tongue out, funny.

An Overall Day

I put overalls on Clara the other day and John decided he needed to put some on too. They were too cute posing in John's room. He loves holding his little sister.
I think Clara was over it as John is still trying to "cheese" for me.

John's Birthday Weekend

We spent the weekend in Nashville celebrating John's birthday. We had a great time! We started the weekend at Opry Mills with a trip to the carousel, Rainforest Cafe, and the mall rides.

This is John's reaction to them singing Happy Birthday to him at the Rainforest Cafe.
I will take the sundae though.

Happy 3rd Birthday John!

My sweet boy turns 3 today! Wow, how time flies! For those of you who don't get to be around John, he is absolutely the most hilarious boy you will meet. He makes up these stories with his vivid imagination. In our barn (actually our garage), we have cows, horses, oinks (pigs), giraffes, and a multitude of other animals that he thinks of at the time. We are constantly building barns with blocks. He loves construction equipment, lawn tools, and anything boy (or that makes him dirty.) He is shy when you first get around him but when he opens up he is full go. When he makes up stories he gets this deep voice. It is too cute! He loves his sister, his puppy, and his friends and family. I love it when he prays for his food, he simply says God is great, over and over again, which isn't that the truth! So simple yet so profound. I simply say God is Great for blessing me with such a special little man in my life! I love you John Henry! Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to Mimmie too! It is my mom's birthday as well. I will just say she is a few years older than 3! She was in the delivery room with us when John was born. I think it is quite special her first grandchild was born on her birthday. Happy Birthday Mom! We love you!

We made cupcakes for him to have a little party at school. I let him have one for his breakfast. It is only his birthday once a year!

He dug into the cupcake before I sang to him. Don't you love his pre-brushed hair?

Blowing out the candle!
